Domestic
Softeners
may
also
be
installed
at
homes
in
order
to
control
the
hardness
of
the
water.
Hard
water
may
cause
‘scale’
to
form
on
various
areas
such
as
the
inside
of
pipes,
water
heaters,
kitchen
and
baths.
This
reduces
the
flow,
until
eventually
pipes
and
other
equipment can become completely blocked.
In
addition,
excessive
hardness
causes
an
insoluble
sticky
precipitate
that
ends
up
in
water,
which
in
turns
it
prevent
the
soap’s
ability
to
lather.
Since
soap
is
widely
utilised
for
washing
and
showering
purposes,
hard water makes the wash itself less productive.

The
SF
–
Water
Softeners
are
for
residential
use.
The
size
of the model that best suit your needs depends entirely on:
- The hardness of the water and
- The volume of water consumed per day.
There
are
8L
and
21L
cabinets
that
are
available
in
volumetric
or
chronometric
control
models.
In
order
to
define
which
model
applies,
TUA
Engineering
specialists
must
test
the
water
where
the
softener
will
be
installed
and
advice
you
on
the
model
that
is
appropriate
to
fulfil
the
necessary
requirements.
